tpi acting up ??????

I just put in a new engine 355 ci, ported L98 heads, LT4 hot cam 1.6 roller rockers, 58 mm throttle body, 24 # injectors, afpr,. Here is the problem . at idle it runs and revs fine under a load it bogs down really bad, I am only getting 40lbs of fuel pressure thinkin I have a screwed up guage. could this cause this I also deleted my egr. I have a hypertech chip in it ritght now but I have a custom chip I am gonna try just doesn't seem like the chip to me but I'm not sure. Also at wide open throttle it runs better but still not like I think it needs to. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanx Steve...

Glad you found it. Hypertech PROMs are seldom a very aggressive program, and are usually just a slight modification of the stock parameters. Since you are using a different cam, no EGR, and likely have other significant mods, a stock program for a speed/density setup isn't going to work well at all.

Sometimes, it takes just a little longer than a few hours to get a good reply. Don't give up hope for help so easily.

I was just a little aggrivated that day and I waited for a little while but should have waited longer. I was thinking of getting the equipment to do the prom burning myself, but this is the hopefully only time I will need it. how bout some suggestions on where to get a custom chip. The one I am running now is much better than it was but it still has some freak occurances. Just seems to have some dead spots. Any help is appreciated and I'll be more patient this time...... Thanx.........

If your sure your motor it 100% tuned then you need a custom chip. hypertech will not cut it.
you can try PCMFORLESS they seem to do a pretty good job with custom chips from what i've heard, they do a lot of third gens too. what i did was i bought all the euipment and software to custom burn chips. you'll find that it comes in handy
