Im installing a new MSD distributor and its not seating properly. I understand that you have to turn the oil pump drive. Now, what are the steps to do this? Sorry for the rookie type question but Im tryin to learn

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Look down the distributor hole. You will see a shaft with a slot on top/ Turn the shaft with a long screwdriver. 1/8 of a turn or so will do it usually. The notch in the bottom of distributor gear must engage after the gear splines onto the cam gear. A little tricky the first time but no big deal.
