Can I remove injectors without taking the Plenum off?
I think I can loosen the Fuel Rail bolts then lift the Fuel Rail far enough to wiggle the injectors out one by one. Is that possible?
OR
Do I have to remove the plenum and then loosen the fuel rail bolts to get the injectors out?
If I do have to take the plenum off, do I need to replace the gasket? And is there a special pattern to re-tightening the bolts? Do I need a tork wrench? What a PAIN!
I really DO NOT want to loosen the fuel lines or take the runners off entirely or any of that - I rather set myself on fire than to have to do that!
I'm really begining to hate this stupid project!
AGAIN, to all of you who are considering swapping a v-8 into a v-6 car THINK TWICE!!

It's easier to remove everything. Get new gaskets too since they're only $10-$15 on Ebay or the local parts store. Gaskets are cheap insurance against air leaks and having to do the whole thing over again. It sounds like your luck would predict problems with trying to skimp by...

It really only takes a few minutes to get the upper plenum off. If it's never been off before make you've got a rubber mallet to help pop it free. Just don't hit the runners or you'll dent them.
