Is it the same kind of distributor on both TBI 305 and TPI 350. As well as chevy van cars?

Depends on the year. Coil on cap or remote coil are the two big differences.

Probably, but here's a free way to be sure.

Jump on www.advance-auto.com and check the distributor part# for each vehicle you're looking at. Same part number means they're interchangeable.

The only thing I'd recommend if you're buying a used distributor is to buy a new drive gear for it...the GM melonized one if you're running a roller cam.

Bad practice to put a used dist gear on a different used cam, they wear-mate to each other.
