Moe fuel please...
Hello all.My motor is done and in my garage waiting to go back to work and I am pretty sure It's gonna want and appreciate a little more fuel to go with the little bit of extra air it's gonna be getting. So;What is the best way to get a couple more lbs. of fuel into my motor.Should I get some 22lb.injectors and or or an adjustable presure regulator and or a beefy fuel pump.
Also,How much or what kind of differance would I realize if I were to use a 2200 rpm stall converter instead of the stock torque converter. This is a daily driver comanded by a sometimes lead-footed navigator.Who doesn't need any (more)tickets.
P.S.For those of you which remember me from DIY forum I have settled on,but not yet ordered, the Prominator mod opposed to a handful of chips and a burner. What do you think?I think it sounds like a cost efffective, less troublesome way to tweak things into shape.Anybody reading this currently using this device?

First, it sounds like you used to have a 305 with a stock fueling system and you built a 350? Is this correct?
If you started with the L98 engine, then you already have 22# injectors and all you will need is an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and beffy pump (walbro 255 will last a long time).
If you started with a 305 then you have 19# injectors to start with. If the new engine is a 350, then I would suggest getting larger injectors, adjustable fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pump, if it is another 305, then you won't need the 22# injectors.
Let us know what you are dealing with and we can get you some better answers.
As for the burner, I really like the AutoProm and Tuner Pro setup from Moates.net

Good point.I'm still using the 305 only with flat tops and a cam,the specs of which are not at my finger tipsbut it has somthing like a .456 lift and we matched the ports and also smoothed out the plenum.Ya know those funky little wall like things that were part of the casting.Anyway I thought a little more fuel would be in order. What do you think?
Autoprom huh?I'll check it out. What caught my attention regaarding the Prominator was the easy access to change.Plug in the ol' HP laptop and get someone to drive while I mess with it and i can store 8 differnt setttings and change them with a push of a button. Also my car is an 85 so yesterdaywhile picking over some bones I found a carbed '86 and removed and purchased the ECM.Will it be worth swapping it out?
thanks
