Exhaust leak cause code 43?

So ive been constantly setting a code 43 for ESC. A couple weeks ago the light would come on and off. I put a new knock sensor in it and now the light is on all the time. The wire looks ok and the memcal has never given me problems. Can an exhaust leak cause enough knock to set the light? The leak I have is at the flange gasket. All input ideas are appreciated.

First, ascertain that you replaced the detonation sensor with one designed for a 350. A 305 sensor would be hyper-sensitive in a 350 block, and may cause your problem.

Guy gave me the right sensor but I should have checked resistance before I put it in the car. Got under it today and the thing is 3x as high as mfg recommends. Put the old sensor in and checked the wire to sensor. Both are good so that leaves the prom and ECM. Im thinking its the memcal because that was reburned recently.
