help

just wanted to see if anyone can help me out. i have a 383 HSR with 180 afr heads, .503/.510 lift cam with 1.6 rockers. it was running ok (needs to be fine tuned) i replaced the stock throtle body with a 58mm bbk and i gutted and descreened the maf. started it back up and it ran like crap. started to pop thru the intake. i thought i messed up the maf by cutting out the cooling fins so i purchased another one (btw i am not getting any codes from the ses) with the new maf it still is doing the same thing. i checked fuel psi which is at 40. checked timing which i set at 6* and it still is there. anyone know what i should check for next. i wasnt having this problem until i swaped the tb's. i also readjusted the iac and tps althought i did have a problem with the tps (i had to bend the back metel arm to get it to adjust to .54 v) HELP

Does it continuously pop through the intake? Or at idle? Or just when moving the throttle?

If continuous - maybe there's a gaping hole in the intake tube from the MAF to the TB.

If only when moving the throttle, maybe from the combination of a 383, HSR, 58mm TB, big heads, big cam, and a stock chip's acceleration enrichment settings. Only way to adjust that is by PROM burning.
