vacuum hose help

i did a search and also referenced the thread below but it seems my configuration may be different.

i have an 87 gta t/a. it had a tpi 305 in it.

i am in the process of a motor swap and i need to know what all these vacuum hoses are for.

i guess 1 is for the heater but the other 2 i have no idea.

on the passenger side, there are 2 hoses coming out of a wiring harness from the firewall

then there is one hose coming out of the firewall on the driver's side from behind the headlight controller.

how much freaking vacuum equiptment is in the cabin anyway?

best way to answer your question is not to ask for help or pictures of a car you have never seen before, but with vacuum lines go find a car close to you with the same engine and look and make some notes for yourself. not trying to be mean but that is the easiest way.

1. A vacuum source from the TPI plenum;

2. A vacuum line to the coolant valve for the heater core;

3. A "dump" line for the cruise control servo.

thanx. i take it the source line and the coolant valve are the 2 on the pass side and the cruise is on the driver's side?

also on that "dump" line, that isn't that larger line that goes to a vacuum switch on brake pedal?

i forgot to mention that one too but i knew exactly what that one went to.

any way to tell which is which on the passenger side? they both come out of the same piece of loom.

or better yet tell me what they connect to (ie if 1 connects directly into the heater controls and the other else where or something like that) and i will be able to figure it out.

Are you certain it is a vacuum line? The only other hose I see from the firewall on my '86 is for the windshield wash spray nozzles.

And yes, the larger line is the cruise dump line.
