bogs around 40-50 mph???
It seems that i've always had the problem of the car bogging down when i get around 40-50 mph. I can drive it normal, and on some roads where the speed limit is 45, i go the speed limit or maybe a little more, but if i ever let of the gas or let it just cruise, it seems to bog down and you have to give it a little more gas than usual and it will come out of it. I donno if this is a normal thing or what?? thanks
Does that occur in any gear range? That is the vehicle speed range at which the TCC would normally lockup, which can make a noticable difference in performance. If the TCC is locked and trans is in overdrive, the engine RPM is so low that the throttle will seem very unresponsive until the TCC is dropped and trans downshifts.
Try it in DRIVE instead of OD to compare the results. If you're really concerned, try disconnecting the TCC and compare after a test drive.

BTW - My '86 factory programming had the TCC lockup at 27MPH, and it used to run like a fornicating DOG when putzing around it low speeds in lockup and OD. I changed that programming and realized a huge difference in SOTP feel.
