Fuel Injector Recommendation

I need to replace the junk injectors on my 92 Z28 with a 5.7L, L98 engine. It is completely stock. What brand and model of injectors do you suggest?

Thanks for the help!

Leonard

Going through the same thing on my '91. I've ordered a set of Bosch 22#. I think these are about the same as the often recommended Ford SVO 24# injectors.

As I understand, these are not an exact fit as the injector retaining clips can't be used with them. But many here seem to put them in without any problems from what I've gathered.

The Bosch I've ordered are about $260 a set, the SVO's are around $200 a set.

They're a bargain compared to the $150 EACH I was quoted from GM dealer so I'm willing to take a chance....

I've got a new set of LS1 28# injectors that are good for 24# rating at our normal 43PSI fuel pressures in third gens. $100 shipped. THese were my spares set, but I'm going to SVO 30's on my 383 SuperRam setup.......

Do the Ford SVO injectors fit and look like the originals? Will the retaining clips work with them?

Do the LS1 injectors look like the stock injectors? Are they still packaged in the original box?

Here's what they look like, and no to the original box (sorry).

Those LS1 injectors look completely different from those in my L98. Just from the looks of them I'd say they are not interchangable, but I don't know that for sure. I trust someone with more experience will enlighten us both.

As for the SVO injectors, the retaining clips do not work with those either from my understanding.

I think if you want to continue to use the retaining clips and basically a stock setup, you'll probably have to stick with the crappy Multec OEM/stock injectors from what I gather. There may be direct non-OEM replacements, but I have not looked hard enough to find them.

As for the look of the Bosch/Ford SVO, they appear a bit different from stock, but for me it's just perfect. Red top injectors to match my red Z/28...

They are, but you can't use the C-clips and you'll need to change the injector constanyt in your PROM.
