Upgrade Advice

I run a remanufactured Chevy 355 in my 89 Formula (formerly a 305). It's got all the goodies listed in my signature and now I'm ready to upgrade my air/fuel intakes and cooling system. The fella that xplanted this engine bolted on the TPI from the crapper 305. I welcome ALL advice or opinions on my ideas .

Definate Do's:
Coolant Bypass
170* thermo (yes, they make those)
manual aux fan switch
Edelbrock High Flow TPI baseplate & runners
Holley Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
Jet Air Foil
Venom Hi Flow MAF Sensor

Not Sure About These:
1) fuel injectors...Accel/Venom/Bosch?
2) 22#, 24#....26#?
3) AFPR set to 50psi?
4) Seen the turmoil this causes, but I'll ask anyway.....52mm TB?
5) should I maybe cut some holes in the stock air can or shell out the $200 or so for the SLP CAI?

The car runs OK at the moment. The 2.77 gear (9 bolt Borg-Warner xplanted from an automatic by one of the somewhat clueless previous owners) is going to be replaced by a 3.73 10-bolt in the next couple weeks. Car seems a bit peeked above 4000RPM and my guess is that the 305's fuel injectors and whatnot may be part of the issue. Again, I want to hear ANYTHING anyone can say that would help me in this process. Thank you all in advance.

EDIT: forgot to mention that I have a FastChip that came with the engine from Jasper installed

Car: 1987 IROC-Z Camaro
Engine: 5.7 350 TPI - SLP Runners, AFPR, MSD Goodies
Transmission: 700R4 - Shift Kit, Corvette Servo
Axle/Gears: BW 9 bolt, 3.27s
Posi rearend with 3.42 gears
New Intake Manifold
New SLP Runners
Port matched plenum
AFPR set at 48 psi as a baseline
And basic stuff as in gas filter makes a world of difference for fuel delivery.

I would get a PROM from an L98 car, that engine is 'starved' for fuel

The 305 had 19 pound injectors so you proboly have thoughs. If you swap the chip you should put 22 pound injectors in and do the knock sensor.

If you already have edlebrock runners no reson to get slp ones. You might want to match the ports on the intake to smooth it out some.

I just saw that you already have a chip you need to find out what sized injectors it is programed for b4 you start swaping them. If you dont it might run really rich.

If you dont have headers that should be your next step as far as mods go.
