what should vacuum be?

checked mine the other day after getting the new engine running again and pulling 18" hg at idle. is that good or kinda' low?

Axle/Gears: Moser 9" locker w/ 4.11's
your right in the ballpark as long as it is a steady reading.

anywhere from 17 in to 22 in at idle is good.


higher the load lower vacuum should be.

If its not steady, you can look in almost any Haynes, or Chilton, or Helms manual to see how to deal with other than steady readings.
