I forgot where these go! Need some help
Almost done with slow head gasket job. I labeled most parts but forgot to differentiate bolts from the runners and plenum. There are 3 sizes in the picture, I have some in the base. Which sizes go where? In taking it apart at night I didn't notice they were different. Second is a support bar for something. I thought it was for the alt. but I have one there. The last one is a bracket with a bend in it. Thanks
For the TPI base and runner bolts, try just setting the bolts in the holes (without threading them in) and arrange them so that the same amount of thread is exposed on each bolt.
That flat bracket with the large hole is a factory lifting bracket. Usually, one is installed at the rear of one head and at the water pump on the opposite corner.
The long one looks like the brace for the A/C compressor.

Process of elimination.....
One of the long bolts goes to the far rear of the plenum on the drivers side. I know b/c i lost it before. I learned to take a cardboard box and stab all my bolts in the box one at a time labeleing them whem i take them off. Being cardboard you can just cricle the bolt and write which bolt it is and its location. Too loate for that now but good luck.

I agree with Vader here...get that brace in place or you could have some problems...the lift bracket can be left off, but be sure to store it away somewhere you'll remember in 2 - 3 years when & if the engine needs to be pulled or you'll have a real fun time with it.
lift brackets? you don't need no stinkin' lift brackets.... 2 2-1/2 inch 3/8 bolts, one for the fron t of one head, back of the other, log chain in the middle......yes, the rod is the a/c brace. -

I would put the brace back on its not that hard to do. Dont worry about the engine lift just put it in a spot u can find it later if u need it.
