i have a 355 and i am going with a speed demon carb.what exactly will i need as far as throttle cable kickdown cable bracket springs?does summit or jegs have what i need?all answers will be appreciated thanks

 

Springs??? I've run several 700r4's with carbs and never heard of such a thing. - A couple where TPI cars converted to carb, and all I did was buy the Holley(I know BG for you..) cable bracket made for a GM throttle cable and a 700R4 kickdown cable. Then just re-adjust the detent cable(kickdown).

 

I just completed a Carb to TPI swap and 2 cables had to be changed out. The first as stated was the Trany TV Cable, and the second was the Throttle cable. The TPI versions are longer than for the Carb set-up. Hope this helps a bit.

 

- thats true, the TPi cables are longer, but thats the only difference. - You can run them, you just have to re-route the cable and get-rid of the excess...not the prettiest way, but do able...
