Ok guys I have a 1986 IROC-Z 305 TPI and I took it to jiffy lube and had my oil changed well did not bother to check it and drove it home and to work the next day well my car does burn oil but not that much and about 3 days later I was driving down the road and reilized that there was no oil pressure in the motor so i shut it off and called my friend to give me a pull the rest of the way home well come to find out the dip stick was clean so I added THREE quarts of oil to get it back into the safe zone and started the motor back up well it is not making any abnormal noises or anything so does that mean I am alright or what. I think I feel a power difference but only when the motor warms up because now sometimes it wont even spin the tires from a stop what could have happed???

 

I doubt you did any serious damage if it wasnt making any noises. I would check under the car to see if anything is wet under there like maybe they didnt tighten the filter or something. I reccomend staying away from places like that because they are more concearned with profit than quality which is a bad way of doing business.

 

I know but why am I loosing power??? It never did that before

 

Id make sure they didnt mess anything else up like knock a vacuum line off or something like that, I have seen some pretty bad screw ups from places like that.
