I have been trying to decide between a beefed up tpi or an hsr for my zz1 motor (i already have the stock tpi on there). and i was looking around and came across this.
ive never seen anything similar to it. anyhow, it sounds pretty good that its all ported and high flow or whatever, but who can you trust? also, when i realized that it only had 19lb injectors, i realized it cant be for that much power, right? anyhow, what do you guys think of this thing? waste of money?
Oh yea, and how would the iac and things like that hook up? would it be the same?

If you run a search on here for "first TPI" you will find some stuff on it. I believe there are some people on here running one of those.
BadSS is running one. Really good street intake. I'm suprised it that cheap on there. Takes a little fabrication to install, but it's swweeeetttt! - Do a search under "FIRST" w/ BadSS as the member name. He's got a ton of comparison info, because he has ran a modded TPI vs HSR vs FIRST on his combo.

wow, thats exactly what i was looking for, ill go do a search. how much fabrication is necessary? and if i like it, i got dibs. im taking the link off, lol.
If you have to pass smog, you'll have to do some work to hook up the EGR. Also, the TPS sensor is different and takes/took some modding, but I believe they've got a new solution for that. Otherwise, it's pretty straight forward.

smog is only visual one time. after that its the pipe test every 2 years. will it still pass that assuming i keep the exhaust the same?
