Carb to TPI?
Carb to TPI?
I have an 87 camaro with the stock carb on it and recently have gotten an offer to buy a TPI, wiring harness and computer and was just wondering if there would be any difficulties after I got it installed and everything, like reprogramming the new computer. O yea the whole setup is from an 86 camaro with a 305. Thanks for the help.

Your 87 heads have different angle bolt holes(4 center) than the 86 TPI lower intake has. You could hog them out, counterbore or shim those bolt heads to make it work.
I just thought that I would be able to get more power and milage at a better cost than it would be for me to buy a new carb and intake, for the price that hes giving it to me for. I also was interested in buying the jet chip for my car which I cannot do with this carb. O well I guess if you guys think that it would be better for me to just buy another carb then I could do that, I just figured I would be able to get more from a TPI. If that is the case then do you think that I could run a 600 cfm carb with the stock cam and heads?
