LT1 parts on 5.7 TPI

i have a 96 model lt1 from an impala ss just laying around. would it be more productive for me to use some parts off of it for my iroc motor or should i just sell it and be done with it. i got the lt1, complete wiring harness and 4l60e transmission for a decent price. just looking for some advice and maybe an idea of what parts would be best to use.

It is a good bit of work to switch your IROC over to an LT1. You need to change your cooling system(LT1 is reverse flow and also has a remote mount thermostat)and completely rewire everything to use the Optispark on the LT1 and the electronic shifting in the 4L60E. Not that is can't be done, just may be more work than it is worth. But since you already have it all, go for it if you are capable of the task(not sure of your knowledge/fabrication skills). But my hats off to anyone willing to do some work and spend some time with a project!

i may just try to sell the whole setup, i figure it would be much cheaper to turn what i got into a 383 and still have money left to burn (probably on gas, lol)

I am willling to bet more like gas and lots of back tires. TPI and 383s go very well together. TPI is good for lots of torque at low RPMS and 383s like to make lots of torque at low RPMs. Good luck! But I think you have a good idea here
