IAC set in drive or park?
I tried setting my IAC today since the car idles super rough when warmed up. I read the tech sheet from here, and the service manual, but didnt know if when adjusting the idle down to 450 if I should have it in drive or park. I did it in park, and even with the screw all the way out, the idle didnt drop below 800. Oh, this is on an 88 350 TPI if that matters. Thanks for any input.

First did u follow the proper procedure, like the one here in the tech page?
It also is sometimes a hit or miss and u have to compromise between the park and drive. The 450-500 should be in gear, I think the Park idle speed is aroun 700-750 in the ecm.
If the car was hot and the idle wouldnt drop, either u did something wrong or your car has other issues like vacuum leaks or even a stuck IAC.

Yep, followed the procedure to the letter, but I did not have it in drive. I am pretty sure that I have a bad injector though, as it bleeds down and the the car is harder to start when hot, so that may have something to do with it, plus I didn't have it totally warmed up. Guess I'll try again and see if it helps. Thanks for the info.
