Fuel Pump broken...??????
Hey guys,
So let me start off by saying that I had been racing 3 weekeneds ago at Bandimere and the car started to backfire at the top end. I decided to call it quites and started to drive home, and about a mile from the track it wouldn't run anymoe cuz it was backfiring sooo bad. I limped it to a friends house about a mile away, and the next day replaced the fuel pump (in tank) and still wouldn't work. It ended up being a broken rotor at the distributor. I fixed it and it has been working perfectly after that.
Anways, last night I drove my car into the garage working PERFECTLY WITH NO PROBLEMS, and the next morning the fuel pump wont prime, and the car now wont start. It will turn over and want to start, but no fuel pump. I went through the diagnostic flow charts, and primed the pump using the ALDL Diagnostic port, and there is 36lbs. of pressure at the rails when i do that. I have an AFPR, and i can still only get it to 36 lbs. The fuel filter is new, because i replaced it with a new one when i did the pump. GUYS I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO???? Replace the pump again or what????!!?!?!?!?
Pleaze please please help!!!!!

From: edge of the map
Car: red one
Engine: on the floor
Transmission: next to engine
Axle/Gears: the ones that turn
as for no prime; try the fuel pump relay.
I think the runing psi might be lower than primeing psi?
good luck,
joe

I did , and the pump comes on, so does this mean that the relay is bad, or what else could be the culprit?????

Well i finally solved the problem. BTW thanks for all the help and input. It seems that there was a fuse blown that wouldn't let the relay kick on, but eveything else, such as lights and guages etc etc. even the motor would turn over, but i found it and replaced it, after looking through some more flow charts.
