Fuel pump not kicking on when I turn the key.
Fuel pump not kicking on when I turn the key.
The know the fuel pump is supposed to run for a couple of seconds when the key is first turned on but my car only does it some of time. My car isn't always starting right off, and when it doesn't I have to hold down on the starter for several seconds until it fires. I have a 92 formula 350. Does anyone know what controls the fuel pump to kick on when the key is first turned on.

i just had the same problem and the only thing i had to do was replace a 20amp fuse that is located in the engine bay on the passenger side fender...it looks like a relay but when you unclip it it holds a fuse...see if it is blown and if it is get a new one and try that but if its not blown try replacing the fuel pump relay...
