I got my motor back together after pp the heads and installing a new cam. The motor ran just fine last fall and now it has very high knock counts. The timing is being pulled back 14 to 20 all the time under throttle. I had alot of parts go bad on me over the winter including tps, coil, and aic. What could be my possibilities for haveing this bad of a knock count. It does also sound like it is pinging also. Thanks

 

Did you install a new timing chain, if it was a gear driven one I know that they are noisy and create extra knock. But also awhile back my knock sensor went bad and it was pulling timing constantly. I would replace the knock sensor not too bad I think 30 bucks, but when you replace it you have to change the coolant becaue it screws into a water line.
