really old gas question

I've had my car down for a project(that took a lot longer than planned) for almost 2 years. I think I had about half a tank of gas before I took it off the road. I did put dry gas in the tank but not sta-bil. I've got brand new injectors and don't want to screw anything up. What should I do with the gas? Use it or ditch it?

old gas

Ditch it. I did the same thing and it would not start. Had to put fresh gas in.

i hate using old gas, my old car had gas in it for about 3 years. wouldn't run for anything it was a carb car but same applies. i droped the tank pulled out the fuel pul and it was full of varnishy gas that was sitting. the pick up tube was 3/4 clogged by hardend goo that the gas turned into from siting to long. i pulled the strainer off and it had pieces the size of pennies of the same stuff caught in the pick up tube. i flushed the fuel lines and got the same thing, chunks of just old varnish/gas crap out of em. definetly drain as much as you can out of the tank. then start with some new gas and maybe some of that fuel treatment stuff for clraning injecters and lines so that any that might be in your lines will not damage your new injectors.

Bite the bullet to save you from getting yourself into a potentially bigger problem. Just siphon it out best you can.
