anybody done this with their tpi!?

i saw this car on the power tour and it was very neat. the car was georgous but i was attracted by the intake. it was a tpi but the guy had the whole thing chromed and he had made billet extentions for the plenum to the base. it was very cool i had never seen anything like it i thought id throw up the pics and see what you guys thought.

with the right size extensions maybe the tpi system could preform good in low and top end who knows...?

Yea, those v/c were screaming at me.

IIRC I saw that same set-up on a monte ss back in the day in one of the car rags. I think it was purple?

Seems like a custom Tunnel Ram with a TPI plenum.

i saw that it was on a big block but i figured it could be done to a stock tpi system right? i mean you'd have to have a big hood or cut a hole. but i think it is pretty neat. dont you think if you could find a way to make the extensions the right height the intake could perform better in lower and higher end power...?

The intake is based more on a tunnel ram. It just uses a modified TPI plenum. Tunnel Rams have more top end power. The Holley Stealth Ram already makes a bolt in system, designed around a tunnel ram.

Notice the different throttle body in the original pic, it's round, not an oval.
