trouble code 33: solution?
while having my fast idle problems(Urgent!:my tpi is idling at 2k!) my alternator took a dump. after going through the usual parts store crap i got a new alternator on it. now the idle problem is still there and now there is a new problem. my service engine light came on immeditly upon starting and i scanned it and it shows err code 33 maf high.
has anybody else had this prblem? the scan tool shows my maf is reading in the proper range about 4.4g/s. does this mean my maf is bad? and could this have caused my fast idle problems?

Where is Highwood at in IL?
HAve u first tried disconnecting the battery or ecm fuse to cut power and restart it?
What codes end up reoccuring.
High idle pushes me towards a stuck IAC or vacuum leak somewhere.
Check the basics first and look for something wrong.
MAF power and burnoff relays good? Wiring to MAF check ok?
Post back and let us know.

highwood is 25 miles north of chicago very close to lake michigan surrounded by highland park.
i have cleared the code with my scanner, but the code comes back instntly. i will go check alll my wiring and make sure there are no pinched wires or anything. is it possible that the MAF plug is upside down?
