egr keep or trash?

egr keep or trash?

i am rebuilding my motor - keeping my stock intake, useing a lt4 hotcam & new heads, i am reburning my chip. should i block off my egr or leave it alone?

id leave it alone. it doesnt hurt anything to have it. in fact it helps to increase fuel milege at higher speeds.

That depends on a few things. Do your new heads have the exhaust crossover passage for egr? Do you have to pass a visual smog equipment check where you live? I personally think egr valves are a PITA when they have problems. If you don't need it to pass a visual inspection, and you're burning a new chip anyways, I'd go ahead and disable egr in the prom and block it off on the intake. Of course my opinion is just one of many!
