New heads....need some advice
I have a 74 350 block, 4 bolt mains, all set, just broken in (6k miles)
I have a TPI intake setup from an 87 Corvette. I am looking for a set of heads that will match up the intake to the block. The setup is complete from maf through injectors (plenum, runners, manifold, fuel rails, injectors, adjustable fpr, etc)
My searching has given me reason to believe any set of heads designed for a TPI motor will work on that block. The heads need to have 3 accessory bolt holes on both heads in order to keep my power steering and air conditioning.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a set of heads? Inexpensive is preferred. I would like aluminum heads for the weight savings, but will gladly go for iron heads to get the engine running first, then swap out later.
I do not have to meet emissions in Michigan (thus EGR can be eliminated), especially because I will be using this engine in an RX7 swap and will only be driving this car on occasional weekends and trips to the drag strip for bracket racing with my uncle's 427 powered Camaro.

Or if you have a little more to spend, you could get a set of bare Dart Iron Eagle Platinum heads off ebay for $575 ($650 shipped).
If you're set on aftermarket aluminum, then you'll probably have to spend about $1k. Check out the Canfield heads HERE.
I'm not endorsing these because I don't know who makes them for Competition Products, but they are aluminum and the price seems right. CP heads

what is the casting on those 74' heads? Prob crap smog heads, but with tpi, i would run a 64 cc chamber which is very common. keeps compression up with good flow. Any heads are pretty nice, just stay away from edelbrock. Lots of guys like 23' trickflows and ported vortecs.

I can't use the heads that are on the block right now. Originally it was a 4bbl carb equipped block with some older Corvette fuelie heads. I could use them, but they don't have any accessory holes drilled in them for my PS and AC.
The engine cranked out 6-7k rpm easily and was sitting around 350hp. It was in a 55 Bel-Air hardtop coupled to a 4 speed M21 Rockcrusher trans. It would lay rubber in the first 2 gears easily and squek em in 3rd.
