Engine: 1988 305 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 2:73 ... I think
New to TPI
Hey im new to the TPI .... i have a 305 TPI with a auto and i wanted to know what was the first three things i should buy to realy wake it up.....And i know the basic tune up, air filter, muffler..... i was thinking an airfold for the throttle body and mabey an fuel pressure regulator but i would like to know a couple things to boost horse power to mabey 235 240 mabey?

save the airfoil and fuel pressure regulator for the last mods you do.. (they'll only really benefit on already highly modified setups)
I'd say the first three things you should do to wake it up is;
shorty headers & y-pipe
cat-back exhaust kit
gears (rear end)
the headers and exhaust will give you a boost in power and torque, reduce under hood temps, improved throttle response, plus sound much better and make it feel alot faster
upgrading the rear gears (assuming you have 2:73's, 3:08's) to a set of 3:42's or 3:45's will also really wake up your 'seat of the pants feel'. Make you accelerate harder, etc.. although it doesn't actually increase power.

Transmission: 700R4 - Shift Kit, Corvette Servo
Axle/Gears: BW 9 bolt, 3.27s
On tpi cars, they can make some serious power with headers. 10-15 rwhp isn't uncommon for even a 305 car. then of course the matching ypipe and catback. Sticky tires are a must.
