NO SPARK?!
Ok, I had my car running a week ago, but I was having problems with keeping accessory power. So I had to disconnect stuff again and check all of the wiring. After discovering a bad fuseable link I put it back together. now accessory power is fine the car turns over but there is no spark!
The setup is a 85' TPI upgraded to an 89' TPI using the 85' large car dizzy. I checked for power at the pink wiring going to the cap, and it have ~12 volts with the key in the on position. Before you start sugesting ignition moduals and coils and stuff, know that all of those things are very new, not to mention it seems very unlikely to me that those parts would fail conveniently over the last week of sitting quietly. Seems much more likely it is a brain failure on my part. What does VATS do? prevent spark? If vats was preventing spark would there still be power at the pink wire?

Did you test for spark or are assuming it. IIRC VATS shuts off the injectors. Did you make sure you had the ground strap under tha cap? How exatly was the link bad? Did you check your fuses afterwards?

If your fused link was bad, maybe it was caused by a short (or other anomoly) somewhere, and now a fuse that had that load on it went out before the fused link. Check fuses again, as suggested by Red Devil.
If there's 12V at the module, and the engine turns over, it should spark no matter what, so long as everything in the distributor, including the grounds, are connected properly.
