Aaaah, Help (emissions, did search)
Hi, I just failed emissions with my new car.
HC was 4.59 limit 2.5
CO was 49.3 limit 20.00
Passed CO2 and NOx and everything else..
305 TPI jasper engine.
What does this tell you??? (New plugg wires, 6advanced, new cap and rotor, new coil, pluggs are gapped at .45 would that be the problem)???
I have the STOCK exhaust on the car right now!
I searched, but never came across someone who had CO and HC's high like this. It was they either passed one or the other. Most of the posts end abruptly without any results of what other members suggested.
So,
How does denatured alcohol work?? How should I use it??
Any tips on passing???
(New pluggs are coming tommorow).

you are rich.
FireBirdKnight, is right, replace your O2 sensor. i recommend using an A/C delco sensor.
also check your fuel pressure, too high will cause a rich condition.
check the fuel pressure regulator to see if it may be leaking.
your cat may also be weak or dead from a bad O2 sensor or fuel pressure regulator leak.
