my iroc is pissin me off. it is a 87 3o5 tpi. before, when ever i goosed it really good, it would hesitate, then stall. yeah that sucked. maybe a fuel pump i thought. i took it to my buddy's house today, un registered uninsured. ran fine. on the way home, the throttle response was being H0RRIBLE! hitting the gas, and N0 RESP0NSE!!! tach didnt move, iroc didnt move. i was going 15 down a main road. i gave it some pedal, and it stalled like usual. i out it in neutral and pulled over. then it didnt start. i tried everything thing i could do, wont start. her i am on a main road, in a no parking zone, with a unregistered vehicle. never had any trouble starting up. when i turn the ignition on, the fan comes on, and i get the stuttering sound. then i had it towed, with a wrecker, and the guy cracked my lower vailence front spoiler thing. what's wrong??

 

do you get any check engine lights.
sounds like a maf sensor to me, but that doesnt explane the no starting part.

doesnt the engine light always come on when you have the ignition on but not the engine running? or does the light go off when you crank the motor? I've never really paid that much attention

I had a problem kinda like this, lots of stuttering and some stalling. barely made it home in 1st gear with low rpm and coasting the whole way. Have you checked all the cables going to the ignition coil? Thats what the problem was for me
