Anything wrong with MSD 2017 fuel injector

I typed MSD 2017 into search and only came up with 3 threads

I've heard some different opinions on accel injectors and the thing that scares me is the internal resistance is 14.4 ohm instead of 16-17 ohm.

but I've got 4 out of 8 injectors with 8 ohm and 2 more around 12 ohm's so its time for a new set. they keep overloading the injector driver and then shut's down.

so I was looking at these and if anyone knows anything that wont be compatible please let me know. NAPA wants 1200 bones for a set of OEM and the $540 towards the MSD's looks like a good alternative.

these injectors are supposed to be flowmatched within 3%

heres the link

Quit pee'ing away money

Go with the tried and true SVO/Ford Racing injectors and be done with it.

Nothing wrong with them, but I'd follow the above advice. At less than half the cost of those MSD's you're looking at (and MSD just reboxes another brand), you cant go wrong.

whats up with the 11-18 ohm impedance on those ford injectors?

if they came at 11 they are already close to shorting out

From what I've seen, the Ford SVO's do seem like the best bargain. The price you quoted for the oem replacements is completely asinine. The MSD's are outrageous too. As for Accels, do a search, and if you're smart, you'll stay far away from those. I've heard of guys putting brand new ones in and having them leak and short out. Of course, the only parts I would trust from Accel have no moving parts (i.e. superram intake, base, runners, etc.), and the only reason those parts are decent is the fact that the legendary John Lingenfelter actually designed them for Accel. Personally, I picked up a set of Bosch stlye factory ones used for cheap and sent them to Rich at Cruzin performance to be cleaned and flow matched. If your set ohms out at what you claim, you're better off buying new ones though.

I know the SVO injectors are no where near 11 ohm.

Factory is 17ohm give or take a couple ohms.

I believe my SVO's have all ohmed at 15ish or so.

They are made that way, they are not shorting out.

Your crappy factory injectors are however.
