TPS TUNING
TPS TUNING
HEY WHATS UP ? IF I MOVE THE THROTTLE WITH MY HAND SHOULD THE VOLTAGE MOVE VERY SMOOTHLY PAST 4.0 VOLTS OR DOES IT EVER STICK OR JUMP JUST A BIT? WHAT DOES YOURS DO ? ALSO IVE READ THAT .54 IS RECOMENDED AT IDLE FOR STOCK BUT WHAT ABOUT MY 383 COMBO,HEADERS ,EXAUST,AFPR,22.8 LB INJECTORS? WHAT DO YOU GUYS RUN AND WITH WHAT SETUPS?........MANY THANKS.
Voltage increase with throttle opening should be very smooth and progressive. Little "blips" in the voltage curve I would take as a sign that the electronic guts inside the TPS are getting flaky and it should be replaced.
You shoot for the same voltages with a modified motor as you do for a stock one. The TPS isn't a tuning tool- it's either set properly to give the ECM a true indication of throttle position from idle to WOT or it's not.

Exactly, should be a smooth motion. At no point should the number just jump sporaddically. You should get to just about over 4.
