fuel pump question
I'm changeing a bird from a 2.8 to a L98. I'm at the gas tank and fuel lines now and was wondering. While I have the rear and exhaust out, I should put a new fuel pump in. Now it is going to be a mostly stock L98 for a few years. Should I invest in a 255 walbro now, since changeing a pump in the futute will be a pain. If so, should I go with the high pressure unit or the standard 255? Considering that it will be a few years till I upgrade heads and cam and such, is a larger fuel pump even needed? Any thoughts?

Well, opinions are like... errr, bellybuttons, so you'll probably get a number of different answers - but here's mine.
If it were me, I'd go ahead & upgrade the fuel pump now while you've got it all apart. It should be a lot easier now, & you can use an AFPR to regulate the pressure to what it should be. As far as which pump to use, well, it doesn't sound like you're going to be building an all-out beast, so I'm thinking that the std Walbro pump should work for you... Good luck!
