lt4 hotcam with 1.65 rockers
I installed a lt4 hotcam & had my stock heads redone with larger springs to handle 1.6 rocker arms. I am just getting around to installing the rockers & i noticed they are 1.65 rockers - will i be ok. Does anyone else run 1.65's? Will that extra ift hurt or help me horse power wise?

I have 1.65 rockers with my hotcam. As long as you check the clearances such as the retainer to the valve stem seal, and the piston to the valve to make sure they wont touch, the extra lift can only help.

Manley 22410-16's. To check retainer clearance, use a dummy checking spring, with your valve, retainer and locks installed. Push down on the valve the amount of your valve lift, and see if it touches.

you may also need to check pushrod clearance, where the pushrod goes through the cylinder head by the intake ports. check for binding. with the 1.65 ratio, the pushrod might move through a greater range for movement.
