Modified LT1 Intake on a 383
I just finished the suspension and brake upgrade on my 91 vert. And now I would like to start on the engine. My plan is a 383, but I would like to keep the TPI set up. Ive read and searched a lot, some people say different things about the TPI not supplying enough air for the 383, and that s why most people recommend a Holley Stealth Ram or Mini Ram intake to supply the extra air the stroker needs. Now, Like most guys on this forum, Im on a budget, so my plan was to start with a 350 4 bolt main, and keep the stock heads. Also I just found out that there is a way of using LT1 intakes on GEN 1 blocks. Has anybody done a 383 with an LT1 intake? Is it worth going that route?

i would say budget wise it cant be beat,www.lt1intake.com you will see a few comparisons and www.stealthram.com you will see how a few different intakes work and how close they really are.there are plenty Lt1 owners with the factory intake on the car and still run very hard
