TPI head question?
Ive searched and came close but found no answers. I'm trying to find a set of 14101083 cast numbered heads. I found a set at a Salvage yard with this casting number. But it lists the donor car as a 87 Caprice. Are these heads still good for a 90-92 TPI manifold??? I don't want swirl port / TBI heads or anything else I have to modify to get to work. I know the center two manifold bolt holes area different angle, Would it be the same on both a F_body and the Caprice head due the casting number or should i keep looking for a set from a f-body?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Re: TPI head question?
The heads don't know which car they came from. They should work fine on your later model TPI. Some bowl blending on those heads will help it a lot before you install them.
I've never had to bother with the bolt angle adjustment as a result of the intake I use...but I thought the angle switched over in 87 to the later style. Maybe I'm mistaken.
