Should a stock 305TPI be able to hang with a 350TPI?

I ran 14.21@96mph with my basically stock 305TPI 5spd in my 92Z28 convt. Mods are ported plenum, runners and intake, aluminum shaft, hollow cat and thats all. That was with the stock 3:08 posi drum rear and 235 Eagle GA tires. This was my best run of the day, she runs 14.5 all day. So is it possible? Sure. Likely? maybe not.

UPDATE- We raced again friday. It was me, another stock GTA with a superram intake, and the guy with the 305. This is no lie, the 305 beat us both. The second the guy with the superram won, with me in last.

Bright red 87 GTA with 350 tuneport. Basic mods such as K&N filter, Flowmasters, Wells MAF, TPIS air foil, Accel 8.8mm plug wires with Bosch platinum plugs, Accel distributor cap and rotary buttons.Gutted cat. Hope to port runners and plenum in about 2 weeks.
