No power to fuel pump
I have a 1988 stock 305 tpi camaro, standard tranny.
Put a fuel pump in awhile back and 4 months later the car cut out on me. Foolishly, I just dropped the tank and threw another pump in, no power to it. I applied 12v right to the wires that lead directly to the pump and it turns on. The fuel pump relay was replaced before I put the second pump in (thought it might-a been the relay). Engine cranks of course. I'm thinking it may be the ECM as I know that's the other "relay" for the pump; because my SES light does not come on anymore. The day the car died also it stuttered as if not delievering fuel before it died an hour later (after stopping and eating dinner). I've looked all over thirdgen.org for answers. I see reference to a fuse by the battery for the fuel pump and fan but I'm not sure what to look for. I have visually checked all the fuses under the dash as well.
Another thing, the fuel pump guage does work, so I'm led to believe the wiring must be intact...hopefully.

Re: No power to fuel pump
OK, well. I can't believe I call myself a mechanic. I found that fuel pump relay fuse easily enough. the fuse plastid and all was -melted-. It was a 20 but i only had a 25 laying around, swapped it in and it turned over!
Woot, I got my baby back. Now i can sell my 87 2.8 RS (my economy car, lol)
