Ign wire to Coil?
Ign wire to Coil?
I'm in the process of putting a battery kill switch into my '92 305 TPI Z28. Since its a road race car, its required to put it on the positive side of the battery, and it has to interrupt the ignition wire leading to the coil as well so it acts as a kill switch.
Since the switch is going to be located in the driver's compartment on the cross brace, idealy I'd like to splice into this wire somewhere inside the cabin as opposed to runnign a wire through the firewall.
I'm assuming that this wire runs from the PCM to the coil. If that's the case, does anyone know which wire on the PCM I need to splice into?
Thanks in advance...

From my understanding, as far as NHRA goes, the switch needs to shutoff the car.
What I did was run the alternator charging wire (off the back terminal) all the way back to the A terminal of the switch.
I ran the wire from the B terminal to the front landing it on a remote starter soleniod. The power wire for the coil (12 gauge red factory wire with a fusible link) to the starter soleniod.
Therefore, when the switch is open, power from the battery and the alternator is disconnected from the coil, and everything else for that matter.
