TPI manifold on L98 Alum. Heads...
Hi all-
I got a 87 305 (with TPI of course) and am lookin at gettin some of the L98 alum's for her. So i seem to remember there being a different angle for the manifold-- did the vette heads use the pre 86 mani interface? If so will all the aftermarket intakes work with it?
Also, whats involved in hooking up the EGR with these heads?
Thanks

Yes, the L98/ZZ3/ZZ4 heads have the pre-87 intake bolt pattern, so you will need an aftermarket intake, a stock Corvette intake, or a stock 85-86 f-body intake. To run the EGR you will need to use an aftermarket or Corvette intake, and run the EGR like the Corvettes do. It takes the exhaust gas from the passenger exhaust manifold, or #8 header, and runs it over the valve cover to a port on the back of the intake manifold.
