which heads TW G2 or TW 23*?

I am thinking about putting in new heads and a cam in my 305 TPI. I don't know which heads or cam to use. I have heard some bad things about the G2 with our cars, but the guy at the speed shop says the G2's are better and cheaper.
I don't know about a cam either, i don't even know where to start.

My future(long time from now) plans are to swap in a 350 and put the heads and cam on the new engine.

Thanks,
Jesse

Neither head will work on your 305. The problem is the 2.02" valves will hit the SMALL bore of the 305. They were intended for the larger bore of the 350.

You don't have many choices for heads except the World Products "SR" head.

"SR" stands for stock replacement so why bother? If you are going in with a 350 just wait till then to get heads.

The above answer is correct. Neither of the above mentioned heads will fit a 305 but their are some other performance heads that will. The L98 Corvette alum heads will fit a 305 and the trick flow G1 head will fit a 305. The G1 still has 2.02, 1.60 vavles but the valves are rotated and will clear the bore on a 305.
