getting my TPI prepared

I'm going to follo the article is chevy high performance bout the 383 TPI. it sounds like a lot of fun. Anyhew, I need to know some preperation questions. If I were to buy a TPIS fuel pressure regulator, will it handle the 383? Also, 1 3/4 headers are good enough for something like that right? And whn i get a new computer for it, if i do indeed need one, what should i get? I'm a little confused here. Can i just burn a new prom or is the 383 too big of a thing to just do that or is best to get a new one?

Re: getting my TPI prepared

The regulator will handle a 383. Most will.

The headers should be fine. Make sure you do the rest of the exhaust though.

Custom burning for the 383 will be in order. You don't need an aftermarket FMU.
