Which is better

For the cash a set of slp headers or an edlebrock base? 91 Z28 350 with a flowmaster exhaust, afpr, 24lb./hr., accel runners, and ported plenum. I've got an intake leak right now so I have to take it off anyway.

I'd go with headers. From my experience with TPI cars, headers and exhaust give you a lot of noticeable horsepower. Plus, adding headers will give your car a nicer exhaust tone. Can't say that about an edelbrock base.

evilho, I would go with the headers. It will complement the exhaust system.

I was wondering, what are your thoughts on the ACCEL runners? I bought a set not too long ago, and I have yet to put them in. Did you notice any difference (especially in the upper rpm range)?

Need another vote for headers? Ok...

Port match the base when you have it off.

Okay I guess headers then. How close can a ported base come to an unported edlebrock?

Age, I haven't put the runners on yet either so i'll let you know when I do
