What to do with my egr vacuum

I recently upgraded to a holley stealth ram, which has no egr. I originally ran the vacuum line that went to the egr into the intake, not thinking that would affect anything. I also have 24 lbs injecters and comp cams advertised .280 - .288 @ .050" lift cam, slp cold air intake ecm chip, headers and full open exhaust. Anyway after the hsr my car was running very rich, some people have told me I have to large an injecter, others say that hooking up the vacuum line to the intake was wrong. Please help any suggestions would be appreciated, Thank you.

Re: What to do with my egr vacuum

One vacuum line goes to the intake, what is the other vacuum line going to? I would think you could remove it and put a cap on the vacuum line on the bottom of the throttle body.
What kind of "chip" do you have? It will run rich with 24lbs injectors if you're using any kind of off-the-shelf chip designed for 22lbs injectors. You need a custom chip designed for your combo with 24lbs injectors.

Re: What to do with my egr vacuum

I forget the shops name but a guy in Tennessee programed the chip specifically for all of the aftermarket stuff in my car. The two vacuum lines, one goes to the bottom of the throttle body and tees off the the charcoal canister and to other that used to go to the egr is now going to the back of the holley stealth ram air box.
