OK for all the info you may need check my sig. Ok here is my question/problem. I bought a 58MM BBK Throttlebody for my 355 TPI this past summer. Well the linkage was a little different on the new on compared to my old one. What I am thinkin is that it has the styl for the later model cars. Mine has those pin on the spring mechanism that that you slide the throttle cable over then clip it on. Well the BBK didn't have that for the throttle but did for the AT kick down. At any rate being a Mechanical engineer and seeing how I bought the damn thing in Columbus (Jegs) and being 2 hours away from there I decided to rig it in with a screw and a nut to form a pin and use the bolt as a clip and to apply pressure to stay in place. Works fine for slammin the gas to WOT, but it doesn't provide smooth actuation in other driving conditions and the spring wont always bring it to a complete close.
Ok my idea is that I might just need to install a throttle cable from say a 91 TPI. Will this fix the problem or am I stuck with it?

Also there has been a PST front suspension kit with Hotchkis strut tower brace added. Soon to have Intrax lowering springs.

I have the BBK 58mm, and I have it hooked up to the stock throttle cabe on my 89 formula.
I don't have my F Body book with me, but the part #'s may be different. My cable terminates in a cylindrical end (like the brake cables on a bike). You may be able to just get a later year cable and stick it in....

That is what I am thinking, but I was hpoing that someone might know if there is a difference between the two cables or not.
