TPI Hesitation question

When I put the pedal to the metal the car hesitates and then will take off. It feels like the TPS is not fast enough and the the computer finally gets the info and then injects fuel. How can I fix this problem?

When did you guys first notice the hesitation? I didn't have the hesitation until I switched to the MiniRam w/58mm throttle body. Wonder if I should raise the TPS but lower the fuel pressure a little so that it can respond quicker but still be getting the same amount of fuel.

Had the same prob but it was tolerable by raising the voltage up over .6v but less than .63v (or it will trigger CES)

I now got a custom prom and dropped the voltage back where it should be. Better off getting a prom because you will not have enough enrichment, but idle and top end will be too rich.

If it's a stock setup then something else is wrong.

I do have a custom prom for the set-up though. Do you think that the prom needs more work?

Raise your TPS voltage, mine is at .62, anthing higher, and I set off a code. Also, try advancing your inital timing.

Also, while my car is in neutral if I snap the throttle open I can hear the valves , then there is a hesitation & the engine picks up strong! What the hell is going on!

I have the same problem but only when i'm driving in town. The stop and go traffic. You start give it gas and loses power and then wham it takes off. I can't figure it out. Checked the timing and it's good the inj are cleaned every 6 months and engine tuned. I'm just starting to notice this. I have 115,000 miles on mine and it still runs like new. Everything is stock except ignition. I'd like to get rid of it myself. Any other suggestions?

You say you checked the timing, but what is it at? Try setting it at 10 or so if it isn't already and see if it helps. Mine and a friend's did the same thing till we bumped the timing some, both run great now. Just a thought.
