A different way to port?
Has anyone cut out the dividing walls in the Manifold instead of the runners? Most porting of SLP like runners includes opening up the dividing walls between the runners where it bolts to the plenum. I was curious if instead someone tried to use stock runners and open up the walls in the manifold. This would allow access to the volume in 2 runners in stead of 1.
If some has, what kind of results did they get?

Yes it has been done. I believe MadMax was the first to post about it. I believe he had some success. You might want to do a lot of research on tuned runner lengths, runner taper and cross sectional area.

Re: A different way to port?
i had a 86 iroc about 3 years ago with a 383 i cut the intake runners down to 3.5 inches long and put slp runners on it but i did not cut the divider out of the runners. it ran great it was a big gain over the old edlebrock lower and slp runners
