Fuel Sock Question ASAP

Which way does pickup sock on fuel pump mount? Toward level float or away from float? Long length side to side or front to rear of car? See pics and let me know. Ready to go back with new tank assy. Walbro 255. Badman

Re: Fuel Sock Question ASAP

Doesnt matter?

The ones I've pulled have the sock parallel to the float, long side to the float side.

I guess as long as it dose'nt rub on anything I could mount it in any direction? The reason I am asking questions about the placement of the sock is that in my GM Camaro service manual they have two drawings and it shows the sock parallel to the float and the other 180 degrees from it. Has no mounting procedure in the manual also. Just want to do a job that's a PITA correctly.
