HELP!! Intake hose
HELP!! Intake hose
I'm constructing a ram air intake setup. I have a K&N cone air filter behind my drivers side fog light hole, and I tig welded an aluminum box that goes over the radiator. Now I just need to connect it to the throttle body. Where can I get some flexible rubber hose to do that? I didn't figure out what diameter yet, but does anyone know what size will fit the throttlebody.
NOTE: I have a SD system so I don't have to worry about mounting the MAF sensor. Plus, This was a TBI conversion so I don't have any of the stock air cleaner assembly.

Best E.T. with TBI 305: 16.11 @ 82mph
Haven't been to track with new motor
If you have any questions on converting from TBI to TPI email me at jdkchevy70@yahoo.com

Any industrial supply outfit should have flex hose, but you are probably going to be looking for some in the range of 3 1/8" i.d. for your app.... at least that's what I got for mine but mine is a MAF setup. Another option, though far costlier, is to find some silicon hose, which can be found at most ***** shops or whoever sells turbo kits. There is always some for sale on Ebay, just do a search for either "turbo" or "silicon hose". The silicon hose looks good and will last forever. One last option is to get the intake hose that was used on the 89 TTA from the dealer. It's still available, and will be more than enough for what you are trying to do. Good luck

IROC,
Industrial suppliers typically don't have storefronts, and don't have sale flyer in the local newspaper. They also have a lot better selection of hardware, supplies, tools, equipment, fixtures, jigs, etc. Try McMaster-Carr , MSC Industrial Supply, W.W. Grainger , Motion Industries, or any other place listed in the yellow pages under "Industrial Suppliers". You'll find that these places have a lot of equipment and hardware that you can't find at the average retail hardware store of home center.
